SOCCER COACH LICENSING
WRC encourages all coaches to pursue a Soccer Coaches License. It is WRC policy to reimburse coaches for licensing fees associated with obtaining a coaching license. Fees are reimbursed in full after the coach has completed a season of coaching with WRC. The MYSA offers several youth soccer coaching license options. Ideally, we’d like all our coaches to go through training of some sort. We recommend at least the E certificate for younger ages and the D license for the older age brackets. Selection of coaches for the paid coaching positions at WRC will take into account the licensing level of each candidate. MYSA offers courses periodically throughout the year in multiple locations throughout the state. The complete calendar of licensing courses offered is available on the MYSA website: http://www.mnyouthsoccer.org/coaches/clinics.cfm
Basic E Certificate: 18 hours of course work/on-field training
D License: 36 hours of course work/on-field training and testing
